Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Opening Night

A long time ago (or so it now seems), in a cineworld not so far away, we watched the epic, and undeniably awesome, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

It was opening night, and the atmosphere in the theatre was electric (as was the local bar, Porters, beforehand).

The movie is, of course, the long awaited seventh instalment of the Star Wars franchise, and is set 30 years after the end of Jedi, with original movie favourites Han Solo, Chewbacca and Princess Leia reunited.

Whilst I don’t propose reviewing the movie here (to avoid spoilers, of course!), I can safely say that it lived up to the unprecedented hype of the past 12 months.  Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not, Episode VII will not disappoint.

We must certainly applaud J.J. Abrahams for succeeding in laying the foundations for an entirely new generation of Star Wars enthusiasts.

A must this holiday season! Enjoy!

May the force be with you all.
